FAQ: What Are My Orthodontic Options?

Roswell Braces FAQ - Newpark Orthodontics

We are always here to answer your questions about treatment options and offerings. Here are the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions about orthodontic options!

What types of braces do you offer at Newpark Orthodontics?

Here at Newpark Orthodontics, we have four main options for you! We offer treatment plans with metal braces, ceramic braces, lingual braces, and Invisalign. We do also offer some additional treatment options, such as orthognathic surgeries, when necessary.

I don’t want my braces to be visible. What are my options?

Each type of orthodontic equipment looks a little different. Our two least visible options are lingual braces and Invisalign. Lingual braces are installed on the back of your teeth so they are not visible when you smile. Invisalign is a clear, retainer-like aligner that you can remove to eat.

For a compromise between visibility and effectiveness, we have our ceramic braces option. These match the color of your teeth and are therefore less noticeable, but the ceramic is more brittle than steel, meaning you have to be a little more careful about what you eat with ceramic braces than you do with more traditional metal braces.

The most visible option is our most traditional metal braces. Metal braces are made of stainless steel and straighten your teeth using a combination of brackets and archwires. While they are more visible, they are also customizable! You can have colored elastic bands to suit your personality and express yourself.

What type of braces will improve my smile the fastest?

The answer to this question depends on your own situation. However, traditional metal braces tend to be the fastest option in most situations because they are not removable and they are able to adjust your teeth from more angles. Since they have been around longer, the technology has been studied and made even better time and time again. Your smile may benefit more from a different option though, so be sure to ask your orthodontist what your options are.

How much will each treatment option cost me?

The cost of your treatment depends on your specific treatment plan and your insurance situation. We are proud to offer complimentary consultations and second opinions, as well as complimentary benefits checks and affordable payment plans. We never want cost to stand in the way of the confident smile you deserve!
