A beautiful smile is useful to everyone. When you have been through an orthodontic treatment, you will feel more self-confident because you have straight teeth that are less prone to injury or decay. Also, gum tissue is less likely to succumb to gum disease.
Crowding Of The Teeth
Also known as malocclusion. Treatment for a crowding may reduce tooth decay and improve the look and appeal of your smile.
Open Bite
Open bites happen when a patient puts strain on the alignment of their teeth, usually while they are young. There are many reasons for this such as thumb sucking or pencil chewing.
Over Bite
An over bite is a dental condition where the top teeth overlap the bottom teeth more than what is necessary. It is a common condition and fortunately it is relatively easy to correct.
Under Bite
An under bite is a dental condition where the bottom teeth overlap the top teeth more than what is necessary. Like over bites, under bites are common and relatively easy to treat.
Missing Teeth
It is important to have missing teeth in your smile corrected. Your teeth allow your bite to remain stable and allow you to smile confidently. Once you lose a tooth or teeth, you may become less confident in your smile and your bite and other teeth begin to shift.
Teeth Spacing
Space (or Gaps) between your teeth are known as distemas. They most commonly occur between the front top two teeth. There are many treatments available to fix space between a patient’s teeth to boost the confidence in their smile.
Over Jet
Overjet is a condition where the top incisors are ahead of the bottom incisors, or vice versa. There are many reasons a patient may develop an overjet such as teeth crowding, thumb sucking, or congenital condition where the top jaw is ahead of the bottom jaw.
Phase One Orthodontic Treatment
It is recommended to have children treated by the age of 7. Early treatment for children provides the best orthodontic results later in life. Children which undergo Phase One orthodontic treatment have better results when they complete Phase Two treatment and braces.
